Make an Impact with your Career
Marketscience is a global company with a diverse team, offering the opportunity to partner with some of the world’s leading companies and organizations to help them solve key business problems.
We believe that a job should be about far more than just turning up for the 9 to 5 shift. Work is much more rewarding when it’s about exploring new ideas, being inspired by your colleagues, and being encouraged to pursue your personal ambitions – and this is what it's all about at Marketscience.
We won’t deny that the work is often challenging – our clients ask us to solve some very difficult problems that don't often have straightforward answers – but you’ll be rewarded with an environment in which to learn, experiment and grow towards your own individual goals. We value a collaborative and team-based approach to problem solving and encourage contribution to solutions from team members at all levels.
Roles & Responsibilities
Marketscience is a meritocracy where individuals have significant ability to shape their career paths. We value collaboration, and have an informal and client-driven approach to managing the firm. Our organizational structure reflects this philosophy.
Career progression is based on your level of experience:
The senior leadership of the firm, who are ultimately responsible for the quality of our deliverables to clients as well as fostering growth through existing and new client relationships. Partners are also responsible for managing the operations of the firm.
Partners are usually promoted from within the firm or recruited from similar roles in other consulting firms.
Significant experience in the field and a proven ability to generate revenue for the firm, as well as thought leadership in one or more of our product or industry areas.
Associate Partners and Engagement Managers lead our day to day client work, and manage our work teams of associates and analysts. Associate Partnerss also lead strategic direction and insights on our client engagements in collaboration with Partners.
Promoted from the Consultant Role or recruited from similar roles in other consulting firms or industry.
Experience leading teams and working with senior clients within a consulting firm.
Consultants are generalists who work on project teams for a variety of industries and marketing capabilities. Their work – finding the right information, creating and interpreting analyses, and presenting results – becomes the basis of the team’s strategic recommendations.
Consultants are promoted from Senior Associate Consultants, who are in turn promoted from Associate Consultants. These roles may also be recruited from outside the firm.
Consultants are advanced degree candidates or have 3-6 years of relevant work experience. Senior Associate Consultants are advanced degree candidates, or have 1-3 years of relevant work experience. Associate Consultants are B.A. candidates, or have 1-3 years of work experience with no analytical or quantitative experience.
Analysts support project teams at the direction of Consultants and Engagement Managers. Under mentorship they learn the basics of data management, analytics and reporting.
Typically recruited from college or with minimal other work experience. The promotion to Consultant may take 2-3 years.
Analysts have advanced degrees or 1-2 years work experience.
Our people are our most important resource and candidates should be prepared to be challenged
The process is designed to ensure not only that the candidate is right for Marketscience, but that Marketscience is the right environment for you in which to grow and develop.
First round interviews are conducted on the phone with one of our associates. If we feel there is a potential fit candidates will be invited to one of the Marketscience offices for more extensive interviews.
In-office interviews are conducted by staff at different levels in the firm. During this time we will administer case interviews and quantitative skills testing to help us better understand your skills and determine whether there is a good fit in the firm.
Based on the outcome of the previous rounds, the candidate may progress to a final round of interviews with senior members of the firm, and a potential offer to join.
